March 10, 2018	Regular business meeting of the society at 10:00 am in the Little Red School House.
February 10, 2018	No business meeting. Field trip to visit several Amite County cemeteries. No draft minutes.
January 13, 2018	Regular business meeting of the society at 10:00 am in the Little Red School House. A copy of the draft minutes may be read here.
December 2, 2017	Open House at the Amite County Courthouse from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. (No business meeting). The society will be commemorating the 200^th anniversary of Mississippi statehood. Some county offices in the courthouse will be open for tours and research.
November 11, 2017	Regular business meeting of the society at 10:00 am in the Little Red School House. A copy of the minutes may be read here.

September 9, 2017	For this meeting, attendees gathered at the Liberty Library at 9:00 am and car pooled/caravaned to Camp Moore near Tangipahoa, LA. Due to the absence of most of the Executive Officers, no business meeting was held.
August 12, 2017	Regular business meeting of the society at 10:00 am in the Little Red School House. A copy of the minutes may be read here.
July 2017	No meeting; meetings resume in August.
June 10, 2017	Annual meeting of the society at 10:00 am in the conference room of the Liberty Library. The primary business was election of officers for the next fiscal year; however, the Treasurer who collects the mail was unable to attend and the vote count had to be delayed until the ballots could be counted. May 6, 2017	Heritage Day activities held. A brief business meeting to receive the recommendation from the Nominating Committee on a slate of officers for the coming fiscal year was held. The minutes of the meeting may be read here.
April 8, 2017	The business meeting was held at the Confederate Monument in Liberty following a flag-raising ceremony at 10:00 am. Ladies of the United Daughters of the Confederacy joined the society in this ceremony. The minutes of the meeting may be read here.
March 18, 2017	All day field trip to New Orleans, LA to visit the War of 1812 Chalmette Battlefield and other points of interest. See the write-up in the January 2017 newsletter.

February 11, 2017	Regular business meeting of the society at 10:00 am in the conference room of the Liberty Library. A field trip to visit the grave of War of 1812 veteran Agrippa Gayden followed. The draft minutes of the meeting may be read here.
January 14, 2017	Regular business meeting of the society at 10:00 am in the conference room of the Liberty Library. A program presented by David Dreyer followed the business meeting. The minutes of the meeting may be read here.
December 3, 2016	Annual Open House. Began at 10:00 am and ran until 2:00 pm. Held at the house originally occupied by Rev. Milton S. Shirk who built the women’s school that included the building now known as the Little Red School House.
November 12, 2016	The November meeting was a brief regular business meeting at 10:00 am in the conference room of the Liberty Library. VP Greg Barron explained the plans for the cemetery field trip and the meeting adjourned early to allow the field trip to begin. The minutes of the meeting may be read here.
October 8, 2016	The October meeting was a regular business meeting at 10:00 am. The meeting was held outdoors in front of the Little Red Schoolhouse to allow the program presenter to set up his displays and work area for the program on arrowhead making. The minutes of the meeting may be read here.
September 10, 2016	The September meeting was a regular business meeting at 10:00 am in the conference room of the Liberty Library. A program on “The Great Sweet Potato Raid” followed the meeting. The minutes of the meeting may be read here.
August 13, 2016	The August meeting was cancelled due to the extreme amount of rain locally and the flooding. The program was postponed until September.
July 2016	As has been customary for the last several years, there will be no meeting in July. The draft minutes for the June meeting will be published later.
June 11, 2016	The June meeting was the annual business meeting with election of officers for the next fiscal year. A field trip for those interested followed the meeting. The slate of recommended officers, all incumbents, was elected. The minutes of the June meeting may be read here.
May 7, 2016	The May meeting was a very brief one at 8:30 am in the conference room of the Liberty Library for the purpose of receiving the report of the Nominating Committee on the recommended slate of candidates for society officers for the next fiscal year. Heritage Day activities followed at 9:00 am until 2:00 pm. Genealogical research help was available in the conference room of the Library and the LRSH was opened to visitors. April 9, 2016	The April meeting was a regular business meeting in the conference room of the Liberty Library at 10:00 am. A program on genealogical research and a project on collection of information from Amite Co. family bibles was presented by the Seversons. The minutes of the meeting may be read here.

December 5, 2015	The annual Open House, which replaced the regular meeting in December, was held at the William Gardner House in east Amite County from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. A map to the site may be viewed here. See the December newsletter for more details.

October 24-25, 2015	“Sawdust and Splinters” logging festival at Vance Park. The society operated a display table indoors. Thanks to those who volunteered.

July 2015	There was no meeting in July.
June 13, 2015	The June meeting was the annual meeting at which officers for the next fiscal year were elected. The meeting began at 10:00 am in the conference room of the Liberty Library. Following the meeting and voting, guest speaker Plater Robinson presented a program on his great-great-grandfather J. T. Nolan. The minutes of the meeting may be read here.
May 2, 2015	The society participated in Liberty Heritage Day activities from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm. All society activities took place in the LRSH and on the adjacent green space. The library conference room was used to hold a brief business meeting prior to Heritage Day activities for the purpose of finalizing the slate of candidates for office in the next fiscal year. April 25, 2015	Field trip to seldom-visited Amite County places of interest for dues-paying members only. Plans will be firmed up at the April 14 meeting. See Pres. Dawn Taylor’s special notice on this here.

May 3, 2014	There was a very short meeting at 9:00 am in the Library meeting room to receive the report of the Nominating Committee and allow for nominations from the floor. See the minutes here. The rest of the day was spent on various activities in association with Liberty Heritage Day.
